Every now and then, I stumble upon a web site that stops me in my tracks and satiates my soul like a rich piece of butterscotch pie from Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia!
Last week, one of these rare opportunities presented itself through the short film work of Nic Askew and Edwin Escobar of the Soul Biographies Project.
The film work is honest, real and courageous. It appeals to me because it is grounded in basic, uplifting human truths; film subjects range from the famous to the unknown; and the messages are artfully communicated through a soulful combination of “films, words, music & images”.
Right now, there are several short films on the Soul Biographies Project site, ranging from two to eleven minutes, and available to everyone. Which short film is my favourite? In the Life of Another.
Oh yes, there is also a handy spot on the Soul Biographies website to sign-up for New Film Alerts.
Look forward to hearing from you … and enjoy the day!
