In Jan’12, four people gathered in my living room in Los Altos, California, enjoyed a nice cup of tea and started to brainstorm about the possibility of creating a BlogTalkRadio show. Why? To offer an “alternate voice” to those (like us) who were interested in exploring fresh perspectives on how to engage life in a happy, balanced, and healthy way.
Did we have all the answers? No. Did we know what we were doing from a technical perspective? No. Did we know where this project would lead us? No. Had we worked together as an audio team before? No. Hmm, I guess by now, you are thinking that we had a lot of “nos” – ha!
What we did know was that we all felt compelled to give this project a whirl … and so, with optimism and a whisper of trust, our BlogTalkRadio program started to wiggle, jiggle and giggle (yes, we laughed at ourselves a lot!) into life.
Flash forward to Mar’12 when our first show Healing Conversations with Mildred Lynn hit the BlogTalkRadio airwaves under the banner of Firefly Willows L*I*V*E! The next week, our second show, Convergence with John Carosella. burst onto the scene, and then, only one week later, we launched the thought-provoking (r)Evolution with HiC Luttmers.
Although we had different areas of interest, all proceeded seamlessly in large part due to the sound engineering talent of Deb Carosella, the fabulous interviews offered by our special guests, our commitment to courageously put ourselves “out there” each week … and as I like to think, the tasty lunches we savored each Wednesday afternoon during our production meetings!
Today, we are delighted to offer our listeners an amazing 24 episodes on Firefly Willows L*I*V*E! … and look forward to producing many, many more episodes over the next year.
On Air Schedule: Healing Conversations with Mildred Lynn airs the FIRST SUNDAY of every month at 10:30am PST. For a change of pace, listen to (r)Evolution with HiC Luttmers (SECOND SUNDAY), and for a completely different flavour, check out Convergence with John Carosella (THIRD SUNDAY). As for the FOURTH SUNDAY of the month, it’s reserved for our popular CALL IN show for LIVE readings.
Missed a show? Great news … all our episodes are recorded and archived, so they’ll sound as fresh and crisp to you as the day they aired “live”.
