Dr. Glenna Calder, ND
Internet Radio/Guest Podcast Host (Nova Scotia)
Dr. Glenna’s down-to-earth nature stems from her East Coast roots! She was born and raised in Port Hood, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. After moving through the chapter of her early life, she headed to St. F.X. University, Naturopathic Medical School in Toronto, and then to Halifax, Nova Scotia. While in Halifax, she had all three of her children with her husband Jason. Recently, Dr. Glenna has started a new life chapter by moving back to her Port Hood roots to experience the benefits of living on this beautiful Island with her young family. As a Naturopathic Doctor, she is running a busy medical practice close enough to the ocean that she and her patients can “hear the waves and smell the salt in the air!”.
Dr. Glenna can keep things fun and enjoy life’s “growing” moments by making it a priority to connect with friends, Nature, and pausing now and then to check if her “feet are still landing on the path that supports her well-being”.
She enjoys writing and speaking to groups on holistic health, life balance, and best of all, being a mom. You can hear her latest conversations on Walk the Talk to Health and Well-Being, a popular Internet radio show/podcast that she co-hosts on BlogTalkRadio.

Madonna hails from Inverness, Cape Breton Island located on the very east coast of Canada. She is particularly proud of her Scottish and French Acadian heritage and has a love of history and an appreciation for cultural differences.

Madonna has a degree in Business Administration from Mount St. Vincent University and has worked in a variety of industries from telecom to education to food production and sales. She is most proud of the diploma she received from the Natural Gourmet Institute for the Culinary Arts in New York City in 2011. Her studies in New York, followed by apprenticeships in California, focused on a lifelong love of food and established an appreciation for the benefits of a lifestyle supported by holistic nutrition.
Madonna’s love of food and community has recently led her back to living full-time in Cape Breton where she is reconnecting with friends, food, and fiddles. Who knew trying to learn to step dance was so difficult?
